Titanic- The Unsinkable…
Jul 19th
My son was reading a book about Titanic. I remember reading as a lesson in my school. Was tempted to write a few lines about her. Hence this instant poem!!!
The dream ship, the unsinkable one,
was amazingly built on eleven floors,
the interior looking rich and beautiful,
like a palace, she stood, tall and proud. She set on More >
Stages of life(poetry)
Jul 7th
As I was standing in a blizzard
Alone, cold and friendless,
I saw nothing but myself
In an empty vault of life!
As I was walking in the garden
On a dark autumnal twilight,
Single,cynical, flicking every dry twig-
I reflected absently on possible happy summers.
When all my hard work
Brought glory and fast prosperity,
Restful spring brought More >
Pound, Dollar and Rupee
Jun 23rd
“Give me a Pound of flesh”,
Said the Merchant of Venice.
Pound is a legal money in Briton.
Dollar and cent are in the U. S. A.
Rupee is appreciating.
Rupee isn’t stable.
Barter deal is between nations.
Plastic money is replacing paper money.
Businessmen sell commodities for money.
Consumers give-out money for commodities.
Buying and selling are trading.

GOD’S ORDERS ARE MAN’S LADDERS
Jun 21st
Let mind be made totally empty
Filling it with nobility is man’s duty
Mind alone enjoys maximum elasticity
Forgetting this is the height of stupidity
Man cannot escape from worries
Every night erase firmly sad memories
Under God’s feet, all worries, prayer buries
Let sleep touch mind like cool breeze
Man only believes in God’s presence
Or else life falls into insignificance

Possibilities
Jun 20th
I prefer not to ask God
to bless me with what I desire to have -
job, health, wealth, love, woman, children -
I prefer to have them by my doings,
and if I fail I do not give up
I keep on doing my doings.
Only ignorant and weak,
duped and deluded,
spiritual and lazy need
God’s blessings.

Bliss
Jun 20th
Heard the patter
From a distance
Soothing sound of drops
Bound by a pact
I saw the rain
Coming at me
Like curtains drawn
After the first act
As the skies burst
Came the downpour
A beautiful sheet
For the heavens to wear
Soaking my skin
A showering grace
I stood delighted
Willing to bear
With eyes closed
I lift my face
A beaming smile
Open my arms and kneel
This miracle of nature
