SITTING AT THE FEET OF GREAT BEINGS – an acrostic poem

Since I have sat at the feet of great beings, it is something I can vouch for. This poem describes the significance of sitting at the feet of great beings.

Good bye – Amidst the rain

A strong smell of wet sand
And I notice the drizzle
Unmindful I still stand
Books and paper in hand.
Then begins the downpour
And people run to shelters
Their feet evading the puddles
Hands above their heads
I gaze at the changing sky
Blue,Gray and Dark all it’s shade
The puffs of cloud that seem to fly
And the little light starts to fade

I Thought I’d Seen…

I thought I’d seen everything
But then I saw
I love who we are
And I love what we have become
I and think I see
How I feel when I am smiling
Sitting here alone
I don’t have to be scared of the midnight storm
It just rages in the passing,
When you cross my mind
I thought I’d had nothing more to discover

A POEM – on how hopeless humans really are!

ME – A SOCIALIST?

Here I lie
soaked in tradition
me and my thoughts
and these four walls around me!

NET RELATIONSHIP

Made I relationships spontaneously,
earned friendships deemed invaluable,
entire net time I spent on it,
never realizing the water bubble nature
of such short living net lives,
always fragile and the very life just a touch away;
knowing the fragile nature of such a life,
I spent hours together on net,
like the thirsty deer running after myriad for water;
hopes are built up More >

Kiss Me Quick

Late in the night
I take my bath
and change
to my black satin night slip
I look up
at those winking stars.
the drooling moon
and the cool cuddling breeze
bring passionate thoughts of you
I fall on my bed
arch my body
and stretch my hands
reach out to you
but I get only the red pillow
in my hands
I imagine it’s you
and hug it More >

Monstrous Mother

All were in deep sleep.
Sun had begun to peep.
They were hours of dawn.
I was disturbed by my own yawn!
Cawing of crows sounded weird.
I grew thoughtful scratching my beard.
Ominous, sounded the street dog’s bark.
Suddenly, floor under was starting to crack.
Fan from the ceiling fell on my back.
Before I could realize, I went dark.
How long was I More >

THE LAW OF SUCCESS

If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think dare not, you dont.
If you think to win, but you think you can’t
It is almost certain you wont.
If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will
It’s all in the state of mind
If you think you are More >
