Mirror

Mirror
When jewels of time
spun behind the curtain of twilight
you appeared in the mirror
I stood in front of the mirror
little hesitated
to decipher that
I am standing on the threshold of time
When I looked at the mirror
the truth stared at me and asked
What are you imagining?
When I went close

Cyboo–gaboo!
Aug 7th
Last night I woke up in sweat
I had a real bad dream
In terror I wet my pants
I saw Cyboo-gaboo
It kept chomping on my poems
Relentless like the great white
Crunching on my comments
Eating it all up! Cyboo-gaboo
It chased me around Sulekha
I hid under a couch
I closed my eyes and wished
It would just go away – More >
Pain
Aug 7th
He clawed deep cuts into my soul,
while he clutched my heart,
that reckoned each beat
the pause of a pinprick grip.
Now we commune from a distance,
fiddling time and life
between our flavors,
that have sweetened so much.

I UTTER TO MAKE YOU BETTER
Aug 5th
Believe in God
Pray to Him
Work very hard
With great vim
You can definitely do
Please make an attempt
Let efforts be true
View not work with contempt
Concentrate whole-heartedly
Feel not weak
Apply mind devotedly
You will reach in work the peak
Fumble not
Work with firmness
If fear is naught
Life enjoys brightness
Work with speed
Keeping in mind safety
Live not with greed

FOR MY SISTER, THOUGHTS I MUSTER
Aug 5th
You are wonderful
With a generous heart
I am very hopeful
That God will comfort
You are always accurate
In whatever you do
I must frankly state
That my words are true
You are nobly brave
In this way I observe
Surely God will save
As you really deserve
I beg you to include
God in your plan
By not being rude
Please love your man

MEDITATE TO FIND A QUIET MIND – an acrostic poem
Aug 4th
The mind is truly like a monkey: it is very hard to keep still. How do we get to keep it still? Through meditation.

My teacher
Aug 4th
She came like an angel
To class and the Earth
She knows how the roman era fell
Right from her birth
————————————————————————————————————-
She knows math the best,
But she does teach Physics,E.V.S.
And puts our minds to the test
And relieves us of all stress

She knows the pro’s and con’s
Of hindi literature
And like a fawn
She is a kind creature.

momentary…….morning star
Aug 2nd
Friends, this is subtle translation of Hindi – poem Shanik- already posted earlier – reflection of the orignial one – near to subject but lacks the similarity of words …….
star of dawn,
though momentary,
its existence only paves way
for morning with golden rays
blessed soul – bestowed with grace
have no regrets for the life so More >
A Flame…
Aug 1st
The morning rain was splashing a downpour
Enthralling the emotions, of passion.
Someone with a sullen and sodden heart
Seeking the porthole of your mind.
Keep Love as an eternal flame, unstinted,
Engross in it, as much as possible.
Do not deviate from its path,
It is the source of boundless happiness.
My ever shining silver cloud!
The night has advanced to the wee
