poetry of the mystics

To see a world in a grain of sand
And heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour – to quote blake

From this the age of reason seems to have taken over, mysticism relates more to romanticism.

A Tear On My Pillow

When I lay and think, in my bed at night,
the day you’ll arrive, seems nowhere in sight.
I toss and I turn, dreaming of you,
opening my eye’s… checking if my dream came true.
It didn’t, again, and a tear starts to roll,
weeping quietly… my pillow I hold.

The Books Are No Longer On My Mind

Yesterday, I finally got to straighten out the mess that my bookshelves had become. Then I wrote this poem and drew the accompanying picture.

Why The Sage Stays Hidden

Most people never even are aware that sages exist. This poem describes why the sage stays hidden.

Money

While visiting Canada from the U.S., when I handle Canadian money it seems quite strange as if it were money from the game, Monopoly. That thought inspired today’s poem.

BARE HANDED BABA story poem

The bare handed Baba was so called as
He never carried anything with him. He
Did not welcome any company in travel.
He didn’t store food for tomorrow, nor
Was his next meal, any of his concern.
Villagers used to ask him “Baba, is it wrong
To think of tomorrow?” He would reply:
“I don’t know. But this is the way I More >

“Of course not” answered he

The Ocean I Have Come To Know

Yesterday, I was sitting by the beach here in Southern California while my daughter was swimming. As I sat there, I wrote this poem.

Addicted to you..!!

Driving down the road
I smile to myself
With thoughts of you
Written all over

I remember
Our bouts of laughter
I remember
Those crazy talks

I irritate you the most
But you always seem unruffled
Having you around
Insanity is always on my mind

Now when I leave
With no hard feelings
I realize
What I would miss the most

I wonder
If you will also reminisce
