Problem with fade-effects in IE8

Hi,
I’ve a problem with the fadeIn() and fadeOut()-commands of jQuery using Internet Explorer 8. Firefox, Opera, Safari and IE up to version 7 works fine.
I’m not getting an error or something from the console, the effect is simply not executed. The elemtent is staying fixed and switching panels without any effect.
Any help would be appreciated.
