An expedition to the Sahara desert has found the fossilized remains of what are thought to be two new species of dinosaurs.

According to a report in The Times, the ancient remains discovered in Morocco, belong to a giant flying pterosaur and plant-eating sauropod.

Initial examinations suggest that both specimens are unknown to science.

They were unearthed during a month-long quest during which the research team braved floods and storms to reach the dig site and then preserve the fossils.

The scientists even feared that they would never get the bones out of the desert because they were so heavy that their Land Rover became stuck in sand.

“There was a point when we wondered if we would make it out of the desert with the (sauropod) bone, but we had worked so hard to find it there was no way I was leaving it behind. It took us five days to get the bone out of the ground and down the mountain,” said Nizar Ibrahim, of University College Dublin, a leader of the project.

The first fossil is the beak of a pterosaur, a giant flying reptile that lived about 100 million years ago.

Such discoveries are unusual because pterosaur bones were light and fragile, to be adapted to flight, and few fossilised well.

“Most pterosaur discoveries are just fragments of teeth and bone so it was thrilling to find a large part of a beak and this was enough to tell us we probably have a new species,” said Ibrahim, a doctoral student.

The second significant discovery was a leg bone more than a meter long that belonged to an unknown species of sauropod – the group of long-necked plant-eaters that includes the diplodocus.

The animal would have been almost 20m (65ft) long.

“Plant eaters are uncommon in this deposit, extremely rare in this region and to find one this large is very exciting. It’s a major discovery,” Dr Martill said.

“Finding two specimens in one expedition is remarkable, especially as both might well represent completely new species,” Ibrahim said.

President Zardari of Pakistan stood with his head bent low if front of the man in front of him

The man behind the desk continued with his work not even noticing the President

The President did not have the courage to look up. He simply waited for the mans attention

Suddenly the man behind the desk stood up and walked around the President disdainfully

‘So you actually think you have power? You will send the ISI chief to India?’

‘No Sir’, the President mumbled

‘I have had enough of you Zardari. If I hear anymore talk of you taking decisions unilaterally, you will be ousted. And thrown into jail for your corruption cases ! Make no mistake of that. UNDERSTAND?’

The raised voice of the army chief made Zardari shiver. He thought of jail. He thought of no women for the next foreseeable future. NO. He was not going back to jail

‘You will release all Jamat Ud Dawah operatives immediately and release all their bank accounts’

‘Yes Sir. But there will be lot of pressure from the Americans and Indians’

‘Ha ! the Americans know that if they give us any trouble the Chinese will enter and checkmate all their moves. And their search for Osama Bin Laden will be over. That reminds me…’

He goes back to the desk and speaks into the intercom.

‘Abdul get me Osama Saheb on the line’

‘Osama Saheb. Salaam Aleikum. Yes Sir. The Americans have been given a view of your present hideout to please their bosses. You may move to location number 2 tomorow morning since they are planning another strike at this hideout. Yes Sir’

‘And Zardari. Before you leave …The video last night of the last girl you were with was good’

‘Yes Sir’

Zardari walked backwards and exited as soon as he could

******************

Massood Azhar, the Chief of Jaish E Mohammed and Hafiz Syed, Chief of Jamaat U Dawaah were in a meeting sharing a good laugh

‘And he took off his shoes and threw them at Bush !’

‘What a ’shoe’ ting that was ! If the shoes had landed there could have been ‘Boots on Bush’ !’

Good timing too ! He is after all getting ‘boot’ ed out of the White House !’

Yeah Liberty Shoes give Liberty to the world from Bush !’

Ok Now on to more serious matters. The attack on major cities in India is finalised. The men will arrive in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkatta, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai hiding in shipping containers. They will all attack simultaneously on January 3rd. Two men will attack the state legislature in each city and while the cops are busy they will destroy the power stations in each city.’

‘This will create complete chaos all over India. They will discuss as usual about attacking Pakistan and we will attack India from Nepal and Bangladesh and take over Kashmir . Their politicians will be too busy fighting to even react !’

‘Excellent ! Are all the men required for this job trained and ready? ‘

Yes. All arrangements have been made. The army chief has checked all the plans himself’

************************************

The helicopters whirred through the air silently. They were the latest American Apache helicopters and hardly made a sound. Ten helicopters went deep into Pakistani territory. The pakistani radar operators saw the American emblem on the helicopters and cursed.

‘Why do they allow the Americans to come into our territory? Now they have allowed so many. Ok let us pretend to shoot at them and let them go past’

The helicopters veered off in different directions after passing the coast guards. Each had a definite target. Inside them NSG commandos from India sat determined. Each rehearsing what they had to do

The helicopters landed at their destinations and quickly surrounded the buildings. When the phones they carried gave the go ahead they moved in. Shooting each person they came across. They moved in to the office at the top of the building and shot the man behind each desk

Masood Azhar lay dead on the floor of his office and so did Hafeez Syed

The leaders of all the major terrorist organizations had been killed

Then men got back into the helicopters and met at a pre designated point. The pakistanis saw them but did not shoot. They were all paralysed

In two of the helicopters two men sat talking into their phones

‘Do not shoot !’

The two men looked at their Indian captors menacingly

The pakistani army watched the helicopters fly off into the distance

The Army Chief and the ISI chief were in one or more of those helicopters. They could not afford to shoot

The war on terror was over.

Obama called Gordon Brown

‘It is done. I told you we could trust the Indians’

‘And thanks to Mr ten percent , Zardari !’

They shared a good laugh

Two days before the Vienna Meeting of the NSG got under way, something strange happened.

Tom Lantos, a Senator of the US Congress had more than a year ago sent to President George Bush a series of questions about the 123 Agreement that the President had signed with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India. The letter had remained unreplied. Then Tom Lantos died. Another Senator took his place in the US Senate. Finally, someone dug up the correspondence in the Presidential Office and sent a point-by-point 26-page reply to Tom Lantos’s successor. This was in January this year.

The letter remained in the new Senator’s files till one of a number of non-proliferation lobbies made the great discovery and passed it on to the Washington Post. The idea was to scuttle the agreement in favour of India that was being hammered out in Vienna by the Nuclear Suppliers’ Group resulting from a resolution placed before the NSG by the US that the embargo on nuclear trade with India be dropped.

The Washington Post needs to periodically pump up its circulation just as much as Times Now the English news channel needs to pump up, what it calls eye-balls, in India. Both lapped it up. The Washington Post went ahead and published excerpts of that reply – and for good measure gave it to Times Now. The reply was innocuous but certain portions could be sensationalised especially among the ignorant. We don’t know how ignorant the Washington Post is, but Arnab Goswami of Times Now had two things going for him: First, ignorance, and, second, the ignorance of that ignorance.

Times Now went to town beginning 5 pm that evening, perfectly positioning the so-called scoop for prime time. It wrongly insisted that the reply had been written by President Bush himself. Then it highlighted the fact that the letter mentions that in the event India conducts a nuclear test in future the US will withdraw all cooperation under the Hyde Act. While the Hyde Act does mention such a thing it is an internal legislation of the US Congress applicable to American law about what the US will do. It is not applicable to India. It cannot ban India from conducting tests if it wants to.

Moreover, the 123 Agreement (which is what is applicable since it is an international treaty), which flows from the Hyde Act, says that in such an event the US will ‘consult with India’ and over a period of a month thereafter to determine if such withdrawal of cooperation is called for. This second part of the explanation was, of course, conveniently missing.

The Bush aide had added the US will try to persuade India to avoid conducting such tests. This was taken to mean that the US government would put unbearable pressure to prevent India’s testing. The possibility that the US would offer the technology to do virtual testing with the help of super-computers was not even considered. Virtual testing by super-computer provides the results of an actual test without an actual test being conducted. In fact if it were not for virtual testing the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty would have been violated long ago, by the US itself! The US has given this technology to Israel. That is why Israel has never tested. The technology has also been made available to South Africa. It will now be probably offered to India. This seems to be what former President Abdul Kalam’s was gently hinting at after the NSG waiver came through when he said that India could build bombs without testing.

The news item that ran throughout the next day raised the expected storm in ignorant political circles. Yashwant Sinha and Arun Shourie made the stupid mistake of demanding the resignation of the UPA government and the PM. The Left also expectedly said that the PM had sold the country down the river to American imperialistic interests.

That the senior-most politicians of the largest opposition party in this country could have been so stupid is appalling however, because these are the very people who could conceivably be leading this country after the next general elections. There could well be another Morarji Desai among them. And this time lady luck may not be there to back the country up.

A late afternoon clarification by Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee that our government does not comment on the correspondence exchanged between government officials and legislators of a foreign country was not understood for its import, thanks to all round ignorance both in political circles and the media at Goswami’s level.

Arnab Goswami then made the second mistake he will eternally regret. He called on the 9.30 pm interview three people whom he thought he could browbeat into admitting that India and Manmohan Singh had sold out our sovereignty to the US. They were his own two editors, Gautam Adhikari, the Editorial director of the Times Group, no less, Chidanand Rajagatta, the TOI’s correspondent in the US, and Abhishek Manu Singhvi, the spokesman for the Congress Party.

Singhvi might be difficult but the other two were his own stable-mates. He started with Singhvi, who, as expected, was contemptuously dismissive. He called the news item a “non-existent storm in an imaginary teacup.” Of course, the Congress Party would defend its Prime Minister.

So Goswami appealed to the others for help. Rajagatta came next. Rajagatta said that political parties like the BJP and the Left were all “ignorant hyper-ventilating quick-gun Murugans”. So as a final appeal he turned to Adhikari. Adhikari ponderously said that he “tended to agree with Chidanand”. That put the lid on Arnab Goswami. He now has nothing more to say about the deal.

That journalists are uneducated about international law goes without saying. Few journalists, except some right at the top of the profession, Gautam Adhikari among them, know what they are talking about. The level of the rest can be gauged by a mere visit to any press club in the country. What is worse, Arnab Goswami belongs to that new breed that subscribes to sensationalism rather than plain unvarnished fact.

This story needed to be told in some detail because apparently neither politics nor journalism calls for the reading and understanding of the basic principles in international law.

Let us see what they are:

The world consists of sovereign independent states each a law unto itself. No state can make a law for another unless it has conquered it in some sense. The US has not conquered India.

Internal legislation: When a state makes a law it is applicable to itself – not to other states. The Hyde Act is one such. It is applicable to the US and determines what the US will do in a particular eventuality. It is not applicable to India.

Bilateral International treaty: When two states come to an agreement. This is applicable to either or both states based on the actual wording of the agreement.

Multilateral treaty: A treaty between many states is binding on all states in the same manner. It is not binding on a state not part of the multilateral arrangement, unless the state voluntarily agrees to the deal made by the multilateral group of states.

In the present case the Nuclear Suppliers’ Group (NSG), a multilateral cartel of 46 nation states that supplies uranium and enrichment technology, had, in 1974 (post Pokhran I) reached an agreement that it would deny India access to both. The US submitted a resolution to the NSG asking for the embargo to be lifted. This resolution had to be submitted by the US and by no other country, because it was the US that had insisted on the embargo at the London Suppliers’ Group back in 1974 in the first place. The NSG has now finally agreed to lift the embargo subject to the conditions mentioned in the bilateral 123 agreement made with the US by India. There is no mention of testing in the 123 Agreement.

Among the conditions: India need not sign the Non-proliferation treaty or the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty since it will continue to adhere to its voluntary moratorium on testing and it will not be involved in proliferation activities. Both these conditions have been adhered to by India now for decades before this agreement was signed.

The agreement brings to an end the 34 year long isolation of India by the international community leaving it free to trade in nuclear fuel and bring in enrichment technology. It gives to India a place as the sixth nation among the other five, the US, China, Russia, France and Britain and a corresponding say in world affairs. Lastly, it offers the way to India to strategically contain China.

The biggest error made by the UPA Government was in describing the nuclear deal as a treaty between India and the US. It isn’t. The essential high point of the deal is what is agreed to between the contracting nations of the Nuclear Suppliers Group. Since India is not a member of the NSG it was left to the US to draft a resolution to the effect that the sanctions imposed against India be dropped – subject to certain conditions. This is what the NSG has agreed to. Based on the NSG waiver of the ban on trade with India, the 123 Agreement with the USA will now go to their Congress for ratification according to American law.

Let us suppose the US Congress does not ratify the 123 Agreement with India. Such an eventuality is remote. India can still trade with the other countries in nuclear fuel and fuel enrichment technology since the NSG has lifted the ban. That is why the NSG waiver is so important. And it is a deal made with 46 countries, not the US alone.

Suppose the US decides to request the NSG to re-impose the ban on trade with India? Back in 1974 the ban was imposed by an agreement between five countries. Today there are 46. Second there were no commercial interests involved. Today the French, the Russians and others want to sell nuclear power plants to India. The deals are worth hundreds of millions of dollars. The French, the Russians and even the British know precisely on which side their bread is buttered. Since the NSG’s decision must be unanimous, it will almost certainly be faced with at least ten vetoes to the attempt by the US to re-impose any such ban.

The rest, including, the 123 Agreement is merely a footnote.

The female, arundati roy, sponsoring savage violence said, “India is not a democracy” or something like that.

“Democracy is dead, still it drives our nation….. we are driven by a Ghost …..hai na!!!!” Yes! Yes!! Yes!!! Here are my views on Indian democracy…

In India, we have democracy trivialized into ugly despotism/authoritanism/ totalitarianism/nepotism by sonia’s into family business, etc etc. Rememebr the medical students were beaten up when they rallied against caste- and religion-based quota system? Silencing by brute force has been the norm in India. But…..even limited force the King of Nepal used against terrorizing maoists for just a few days was not taken lighlty ! He lost his throne to the savage islamist backed barbaric maoists!!

These are my thoughts on Indian democracy…
Best blog overall in terms of truthful satire, stressing basic elements of democracy, leaders’ role, etc etc. had these lines: “We do have freedom of speech. There have been stray incidents of goondas silencing some people, but overall, you are safe within four walls. Only when you venture outside, you have to be a bit careful.

At least there are no bullets flying around. And schoolchildren don’t carry guns. Once in a while, some accident happens. Only during bandhs and rallies we have to be really cautious and stay indoors. Some peaceful protestors may use some peaceful methods. It’s better to be safe. We are non-violent people.

The ones who stay put in their homes usually face no trouble. Especially if you have stocked up on all essential items you need till the peaceful bandh is over. If you don’t have rice, eat bread. If you don’t have bread, drink water.
We do have a good governance. Very, co-operative. Almost anything can be done, provided you know what to do. Everything has its price. The richest in India know that. “

I liked most these lines as well:
“There are many issues of national interest (definitely without thrill and spice), that go unnoticed or hardly noticed by media.
The rule of law: One of the strong most preconditions of the democracy is sound working of the rule of law. … In India, even if we assume that the writ of the government hardly extends beyond its capital city Delhi, the question still remains, is Delhi a safe place to live with, with full working of law and order situation?

Free and fair elections: This is another assumption for the democracy to function properly. In the insurgancy dominated corners of the country, sometimes, going to take part in the election & vote for a party or not, becomes a question of life and death.
Are we really responsible citizen of India? How much we are concerned about our duty to take part in the elections? Mostly we finish all our duty with a single statement like ‘all politicians are corrupt’, ‘that the system is not working’.”

IF YOU STAY INDOORS UNDER INDIAN DEMOCRACY, YOU ARE O! that is a lot of freedom under our democracy!! I like these words of wisdom:
“Democracy is a Government of the people, by the people & for the people but the reality is Govt OFF the people; BUY the people & FRAUD the people. It has become a routine poor people are wooed by freebies, instant money and voting is manipulated. When people promise and did not keep it, they are punished but politicians promise do nothing still go scott-free. They say they are punished by voting out. But is this a punishment? Five years is too long a period for such crooks to damage the country! Is this right?”
and this:

Yes, “…the vast majority of Indians suffer extreme poverty. A majority of them even don’t have enough food to fill their belly. They don’t have clothes to wear, live on foot paths. Many villages even don’t have access to drinking water, primary education and primary health facilities. They are choked in a vicious circle of illiteracy-unemployment- over population- poverty-Illiteracy. ”

Yes, “democractic movement is the outcome of many revolutions“! Indian needs a liberation struggle to emancipate the great majority in the civil society who have neither basic civil rights nor fundamental Human Rights like right to live free from savage islamic serial blasts, free from evanjihadis, free from stoning from osques during Ganesh festivities…etc etc.

A country like India where people with loyalties to external entities like catholic vatican or islamic umma, are ruling for the most part, cannot prosper unlike China where patriotic naitonalism is obviously evident in the rally in support of the olympic torch in every town of China and abroad!

In India, leaders like Honorable Modi-ji is not respected while media thugs, xian mafia, islamic criminals, communist goons, cricket dancers are put on pedastal. That shows how India is different from China which has all the masses moving fwd as one society.

B/c media is very biased and prejudiced against the secular BJP and is totally pro- jesus-vadis and mohammad-vadis. So called Hindutvadis are demonized and maligned. Even patriotic citizens like Honorable Raj Thakeray and counter-terrorism expert His Excellency Most Honorable Mr Modi-ji are most offensively abused. There is no objectivity or balance even in Sulekha where someone said, “If there is a comment pro-Hindus, delete it!” Where is freedom of speech?!

Do you really think the khan-blasts were unavoidable, not preventable. If there were
military/para-military checkpoints at major junctions, this savage atrocity could have been prevented. Police are too few, too ill-equipped and too poorly paid to do a good job. Moreover, Bombay police chief is an islamist, javed, right? That says it all, in khanistan.

Look at China. They too have violent minority muslims. Are they not made to behave properly? The basic quesiton is one of equality that most muslims cannot seem to be obligated to get Hindus to have, as they seem to view Hindus to be colonial slaves. If Hindutvadis were strong, this kind of entrenched inequity and barbaric manifestations of enforcing inequality, might have been largely prevented. Then, there would have been about equal percentage of poor among all faiths; not the current situation where it is the Hindus that are mostlly poor.

Editorial : CAN JUDGEMENT BE MANIPULATED IN INDIAN COURTS OF JUSTICE ? – WHY NOT PRISON SENTENCE FOR GUILTY SUPREME COURT ADVOCATES ?

New Delhi, August 21 The Delhi High Court imposed a four-month ban on senior advocate R K Anand and colleague I U Khan on Thursday for interfering with judicial proceedings in the high-profile BMW hit-and-run case. A fine of Rs 2,000 was levied as well.

On May 30, 2007, television channel NDTV caught both lawyers in a “sting” operation, conniving with key prosecution witness Suniel Kulkarni to get main accused Sanjeev Nanda off the hook.

A High Court Bench comprising Justices Madan B Lokur and Manmohan Sarin found the two guilty of criminal contempt.

“The entire material leaves a bitter taste in the mouth about the goings-on in the BMW case. There is no manner of doubt whatsoever that there was complicity between Mr Khan and Mr Anand… There can be absolutely no doubt that Mr Khan and Mr Anand were, somehow or the other, more than mixed up in the BMW case,” observed the court, which had taken suo motu cognizance of the expose the day after it was aired.

“Mr Anand and Mr Khan are prohibited from appearing in this court (Delhi High Court) or courts subordinate to it for four months from today. However, they are free to discharge their professional duties in terms of consultation, advice, conferences, opinions, etc,” said the Bench.

The court desisted from commenting on the conduct of Kulkarni, saying it would not be “proper” to do so.

Though the verdict comes solely on basis of the CDs and transcripts of the sting operation, the Bench said, “the unshakeable truth is that Mr Anand is guilty of criminal contempt of court”.

Contemplating a fit punishment, the Bench wondered how many in the legal fraternity had had been taken by surprise to find Anand indulging in such “sharp practices”. “Mr Anand has held many prestigious elective positions in the legal fraternity, including the Bar Council of Delhi. He has also been a Member of the Rajya Sabha,” noted the Bench.

The court said it knew Khan for his legal acumen and forensic skills — “perhaps the reason why he was appointed Special Public Prosecutor in the BMW case”. High expectations over Khan fell apart when his conduct “betrayed the trust that prosecution reposed in him… what he did was perhaps beyond the realm of contemplation of the prosecuting agency”.

Chastising the two for their misconduct, the Bench said: “We are not dealing with a young lawyer who, driven by ambition and desire… transgresses the limits or unwittingly or unknowingly commits criminal contempt. We are dealing with senior advocates, who are expected to conduct themselves as gentlemen and role models for younger members of the Bar.”

The court forwarded a recommendation that the two be “stripped of their designations as senior advocates”. The High Court Registrar General will put up the court’s recommendation before Chief Justice AP Shah within a month.

In response to the verdict, the Delhi Bar Association president, advocate Rajiv Khosla, said about 20,000 lawyers from district courts were going on strike on August 22 in protest.

R K Anand
Began legal career in Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court as a civil lawyer in 1967. Appointed government counsel in 1976. In 2000, JMM nominated him to Rajya Sabha from Jharkhand. Appointed AICC observer for Assembly polls in Himachal Pradesh in February 2003.

High-profile cases:
* In 1980, represented the late Indira Gandhi in a property litigation filed by Maneka Gandhi after Sanjay Gandhi’s death
* Narasimha Rao in the JMM bribery and the St Kitts case
* Chandraswami in the FERA violation case
* H K L Bhagat in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case
* Former external affairs minister Natwar Singh’s son Jagat Singh in the murder/suicide of his wife Natasha Singh

I U Khan
One of the top five criminal lawyers in Capital. He was charging a fee of only Re 1 in the BMW case. Began his career in late 1960s, and came intio spotlight in 1980s.
* Defended Sushil Sharma in the tandoor murder case, Subash Gupta in the Personal Point triple murder, former Youth Congress President Romesh Sharma in several cases and Tony Gill in Jessica Lall murder case

When prosecution & defence lawyer together team up along with corrupt police / public servants and manipulate evidences / records , the court is helpless and will acquit the accussed for lack of evidences eventhough the presiding judge is of impeccable integrity , honesty , he is help less. Add to this , if the presiding judge happens to be corrupt & teams up with the criminal nexus , the result is devastating , the rich criminal will get away & the innocent will suffer punishment in some cases even death sentence.

Who will bell these few corrupt among the judiciary , bar , police & public service ? why not prison sentence for two leading advocates on criminal charges of contempt of court , destruction of evidences ? are they above law ? why favouritism by court to the guilty in awarding punishment to guilty two advocates as they happen to be political influential ? will the court let a common man so leniently for the same charges ? In the past cases dealt by these corrupt duo advocates , there are possibilities that the same tactics of manipulation of evidences , prosecution is done to win the cases , to free the rich criminals , why not review of the cases dealt by these corrupt advocates ?

The honest few among judiciary , bar , police & public service must uphold our constitution , rule of law & bring to book their corrupt colleagues. JAI HIND. VANDE MATARAM.

Your’s sincerely,

CASH FOR JUDGEMENT

Chandigarh, August 22: Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge Nirmal Yadav who has gone on leave after her name is said to have figured in the statements of the main accused in the case involving the delivery of cash at another High Court Judge’s house, said today that she was a “victim of a vilification campaign.”

Speaking to The Indian Express at her Sector 24 residence here today, Justice Yadav said that “some influential persons were trying to shift the focus on her to save the real accused.”

Justice Yadav denied that former Haryana Additional Advocate General Sanjeev Bansal had talked to her on phone on August 13 when Bansal’s clerk “mistakenly” delivered a bag containing Rs 15 lakh to the residence of Justice Nirmaljit Kaur, another sitting Judge of the High Court.

“Let any agency prove that I talked to Sanjeev Bansal on phone either on that day or any day in the past one month,” Justice Yadav said. “I am ready to face all consequences if this allegation is found true. I have had no dealings with Bansal. I have not received any money from Bansal or any of his associates. I am sure I will get justice.”

Justice Yadav said she had explained her position to High Court Chief Justice T S Thakur and had “proceeded on leave.” She said she would not hear any case until her name is cleared.

Sources close to her said that during her meeting with Justice Thakur yesterday evening, in which some other senior judges were also present, Justice Yadav offered to proceed on leave to “maintain the highest traditions of Indian judiciary.” Justice Thakur told The Indian Express that he had not asked Justice Yadav to proceed on leave and that it was her own decision.

It is learnt that in her meeting with Justice Thakur, Yadav vehemently denied any role in the entire role.

While acknowledging that she and some other members of her family had bought a plot of 11.1 bighas of land (see accompanying story) at village Rihun Pargana near Kumharhatti in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh on August 14, Yadav is learnt to have denied that the money for purchasing the land came from Bansal or Ravinder Singh, the Delhi businessman, who is also named in the case.

“Can’t a judge buy legal property? Let the police or any other investigating agency prove that the money for the deal was provided by Bansal or Singh,” she is learnt to have told the Chief Justice. But she is learnt to have acknowledged, in her meeting with the Chief Justcie, that she knew Ravinder Singh. She is learnt to have said that she came to know him through some other judges.

Meanwhile, highly placed sources in the High Court confirmed that Chief Justice Thakur is awaiting the return of Chief Justice of India KG Balakrishnan from Brazil to apprise him of the developments in the case. The Chief Justice is learnt to have asked the administrative committee, comprising senior judges, to monitor the case on a daily basis.

The Rs 15-lakh delivery: Story So Far

•August 13: Parkash Ram, an assistant to Haryana’s Additional Advocate General Sanjeev Bansal, delivers a parcel containing Rs 15 lakh at the residence of Justice Nirmaljit Kaur of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Justice Kaur calls the police.

•Rajeev Gupta, Bansal’s friend and a property dealer, tells the police that the money reached there by mistake and it was meant for Nirmal Singh, another property dealer. Chandigarh Police decline to hand over the cash. Bansal is questioned

•August 16: A case is registered against Bansal, Parkash Ram and Delhi-based hotelier Ravinder Singh who allegedly organised the money

•Bansal resigns as Addl AG and surrenders on August 19

•August 21: Rajeev Gupta, the property dealer who claimed the money was meant for Nirmal Singh, is arrested. The Inspector General of Police sends a report to the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court. The report says that the money was meant for another judge.

•August 22: Justice Nirmal Yadav proceeds on leave

Caught in controversy is Solan plot that judge, 16 others purchased

CHANDIGARH, SOLAN, August 22: On August 14, according to revenue records, a plot measuring 11.1 bighas in Solan was purchased by Justice Nirmal Yadav and others for Rs 5, 52, 500. Details of the transaction, obtained by The Indian Express, show that the land was purchased by her and 16 others from six persons, all residents of village Rihun Pargana, near Kumharhatti in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh.

This purchase is said to have figured in the meeting between Justice Yadav and the High Court Chief Justice yesterday. Justice Yadav is said to have told the Chief Justice: “Can’t a judge buy legal property? Let the police or any other investigating agency prove that the money for the deal was provided by (Sanjeev) Bansal or Ravinder Singh.”

The purchasers and sellers obtained permission from the Himachal Pradesh Government under Section 118 of the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy Act. Solan Naib Tehsildar N S Chauhan has confirmed on record that that the deal had been registered as per the details we have.

The land was sold by residents of village including Baldev; Narinder Kumar; Surinder Kumar; Rajinder Kumar; Bimla Devi and Amar Singh. The sellers have given a General Power of Attorney to Surinder Kumar (one of the partners among the sellers), who executed a sale agreement in favour of the buyers.

Those named as purchasers (partners) in the land deal include Suruchi, a resident of House no. 3, Sector 14, Gurgaon; Trisha Chaudhary; Ram Niwas; Rajender Yadav; Chiranjeev; Latika; Deepak; Sunita; Vivek; Capt. NT Puri; Devinder Singh; Shakuntla; Kuldip Singh Yadav; Ajay Yadav; Sushank Puri; Mohit (all residents of house no. 1111, Sector 11, Panchkula) and Punjab and Haryana High Court Justice Nirmal Yadav.

Three booked in judge bribery case

Haryana Addl Advocate General among booked

Chandigarh, August 16: Three persons, including Additional Advocate General of Haryana Sanjeev Bansal, were on Saturday booked for an attempt to bribe a Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge.

The other two are Bansal’s munshi Parkash, who had carried Rs 15 lakh to the residence of High Court judge Nirmaljit Kaur on Wednesday night, and Ravinder Singh, a Delhi-based businessman who has a hotel in Karol Bagh.

The munshi was taken into custody while a police party has been despatched to Delhi to nab Singh.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Madhur Verma said the amount was supposed to be handed over to some other public servant but was mistakenly delivered at Kaur’s house.

An FIR was lodged after Kaur complained to the police. She also reported the matter to the Chief Justice.

Police said Singh had allegedly paid Bansal a huge amount to get settled a criminal case pending in the High Court. The case is due to come up for hearing on Wednesday.

Earlier, Singh had claimed the amount was pertaining to a property deal he had struck with a resident of Panchkula. The money was supposed to be delivered to one Nirmal Singh and was mistakenly delivered at the judge’s house.

Verma, however, said the preliminary investigation had ruled out the possibility of the amount being related to any property deal.

“Bansal failed to give a detailed account of the cash. He produced some papers pertaining to some property in Panchkula but that did not carry any weight. Our investigations caught him on the wrong foot and, therefore, we booked him along with two others under the Prevention of Corruption Act and criminal conspiracy,” he added.

Bansal has been handling several high-profile cases. He is one of the dozen-odd Additional Advocate Generals appointed by the Haryana Government about two years ago.

It is a Irony that I filed a complaint against a District and Session Judge who later promoted to High Court of Allahabad. I wish the God will serve HIS justice to Hon’ble Justice Umeshware Pandey, now enjoying at High Court and selling (Mis)Justice at Rs 100000 per page!!

Here I am elaborating what had happened. In 1994, two people name Parashram Agarwal and Mohan Lal Agarwal wanted to grab my father’s property and in March 1994 they beat him and pulled his legs( just imagine the pain) making him handicapped for life. Then in court those guys were merely sentenced for 6 months in Jail, but they did not went for the jail for single day or hour and appealed to Sessions Court and then the corrupt Judge Umeshwar Pandey took the bribe of Rs 200000 in Criminal Revision number 13/2000 from Parashram Agarwal and Mohan Lal. It is a shame on Umeshwar Pandey that he cannot see a Handicapped man suffering for last 9 years and even then not given the justice.

Umeshwar Pandey has taken this bribe via his Steno name some G. D. Gupta.

It is the habit of Parashram and MohanLal to record the conversation while giving bribes on hidden audio recorder and the same cassette can be recovered if the authority try. It is been 8 months since I have informed various authorities by registered letters and phone calls from USA for no action till date.

I have spoken to Mr Jagmohan Paliwal who was posted as Vigilance Officer for no action till date and the recording attached is from Sept 2002.

Similarly I have spoken with Mr. K. S. Rakhra who was posted as Registrar General but no action till date, and the recoding shown is from Sept 2002 too.

Even CBI has forwarded my letter to Registrar General, but no action is taken on that one too.

I have emaild my plea to few High court Judges too for no response.

I just hope GOD is there who will give some justice. But the corrupt Judges should stop imitating as GOD they are devil actually.

The only solution can be people make a limit. How much money a person needs. I often think about a story that a saint refused to take the food as he already got the food for today and he do not want to collect for tomorrow. But I don’t know why people want to generate money for 7 generations. If a careful analysis and investigation is done Umeshwar Pamdey has Black money worth 3 generations. I guess instead of Lakhs and Carore now corruption should be measured in generations.

Education is important. People need to understand the meaning of freedom truly. IF I say boldly India is still not free. People have mentality that they need to pay to Government officials for work. This mentality has to be removed.

Thanks
Rajeev

AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat High Court has suspended a fast track court judge in Rajpipla after receiving several complaints of corruption and favouritism against her.

Rajpipla fast track court Judge DL Desai was suspended on Thursday evening after a primary inquiry held by the court’s vigilance department said that the complaints against her had substance. Further inquiry against her will be conducted by the department. Besides the complaint of favouritism in Rajpipla, where she was presently posted, the Desai was also accused of similar charges and issuing certificates without proper verification in Bharuch, where the she was discharging her duty as a principal district judge, the High Court authorities said.

The HC administration seems to be seriously taking the issue of corruption prevailing in Gujarat’s judiciary, as Desai’s is the fourth suspension in last three months. Earlier in May, a judge in Surat’s court, AN Vinjhola was suspended after similar complaints against him. The court administration also found him in possession of property out of proportion considering his known sources of income. Last month, two judges were suspended on charges of corruption. The Ahmedabad city civil Judge NM Thakor and KV Kakkad were also suspended by the HC after holding preliminary inquiry into complaints against them.

All the four suspended judges are now facing departmental inquiry.

Communist… a bit. Capitalist… a bit… but what exactly defines
me???A deep probe into myself reveals the following:
1: I believe in development of common man. If a government
cannot work for the common man… it should not be there.
2: There should be equality of wealth but instead of individuality,
labour should be the parameter. Instead of a system where a
sweeper earns 1k and CEO of some group earns 1000k per month;
i would like to support a system with sweeper earning 10k and CEO
getting 250k.
3: No subsidy. Even if you can’t do so, employ something like following.
Say a cylinder of gas costs 1000 to Govt. Ask BPL to pay 250, middle
class to pay 400, commercial at 600, 800, 1000, 1500 depending on
usage. Let 5 stars pay max and hostels for students pay the min. And
Ask the rich to pay 2000 for the same cylinder.

What do you think…

On 15th August, 2008, it will be 61 years since we became Independent. It is a time to reflect on how to carry forward our country. To carry forward a country we need to be patriotic. What does it take to be patriotic in today’s India? You don’t have to be a Mahatama Gandhi and lead people to Freedom. You don’t have to be a Subash Chandra Bose and build an army to uproot the British Rule. You don’t have to be a Bhagath Singh and go to the gallows at the tender age of 23. Our forefathers have done all these and much more patriotic acts to ensure that we rule ourselves and decide our futures. All that we have to do is ensure that we don’t fool ourselves in the name of freedom, smartness and don’t end up with another freedom struggle on our hands. Here is what I believe is could be considered as acts of patriotism in India today:-

Election – Cast your vote every time an election is held. Unfortunately most of the educated don’t cast their votes and later crib about non-existent Government. Atleast go and vote for the candidate who will perform despite being corrupt.

Corruption – Avoid paying bribes wherever possible. If the work is not head going, try to get it done without paying bribe and if anybody demands a bribe use the channels available to complain about corruption. If every Indian graduate spends Rs.5 worth postage stamp and lodges one complaint against corruption every year, it will mean yearly 10 crores complaints. No Government/Politician/Bureaucrat however thick skinned they may be can ever ignore such a mass public movement and will straighten up their tails.

The illegitimate, traitor ‘government’ in New Delhi cannot enter into any IAEA agreements for India. No IAEA inspections of any Indian facilities, beyond those that were under such inspections on January 1, 2006, will be allowed. Even those facilities that were under IAEA inspections on January 1, 2006 may, in fact will, be withdrawn from such inspections.
The traitors of the B.J.P. responded to my reference to the firangi control of India’s media (see my article ’Suppression By the Media’ on satchandra.sulekha.com) by trying to divert attention away from the firangi enemy — and the firangis’ invasion of India in the form of the IAEA inspections — and direct it toward other Indians (which is what Bangladeshis, like other muslims of the subcontinent, are); a B.J.P. spokesman referred to Bangladeshi “infiltration”, never mind the firangis’ invasion of India’s nuclear program and infiltration — which in fact is almost total control — of Indian media, government, politicians, etc. The nuclear bomb that will destroy New Delhi will destroy the B.J.P. traitors as surely as any other (see my article ‘Imminent end of Firangi Rule Over India‘ on satchandra.sulekha.com).

As I have said (see my article ‘Objections to the Nuclear Deal’ on satchandra.sulekha.com) getting India’s nuclear facilities under IAEA safeguards, whether or not India imports American reactors, has been a prime American goal because at least 75% of the damage to India’s nuclear program would have been done once the facilities are placed under IAEA inspections, even if nothing further is done and no nuclear deal with the United States is finally signed and no foreign reactors, from the United States or from Russia or France, are bought. Any move to put Indian nuclear facilities under IAEA safeguards, beyond the ones under IAEA inspections at present, is a grave injury to the nation and an invasion of India like the American invasion of Iraq and deserves a response appropriate to an invasion.

A country that has ten thousand nuclear warheads and the means to deliver them to the continental United States cannot be restricted from importing, without IAEA inspections, etc., however much uranium it wants from wherever it wants by the United States or any other power; the power of nuclear weapons is what India needs; electricity can be produced in numerous other ways for the time being. Agreeing to even talks on new inspections with the IAEA — an instrument of American imperialism — are acts of treason and deserve commensurately severe punishment. Nuclear supremacy over the United States has to be India’s national objective and its one point agenda (see my article ‘Why Nuclear Supremacy?’ on satchandra.sulekha.com). The IAEA inspections are totally incompatible with nuclear supremacy over the United States and deserve to be summarily rejected without going into any details.

The assault on India’s nuclear program, of which the IAEA inspections are the central part, is the present day version of a foreign invasion. Military supremacy over an invader is not optional but essential for survival. Military supremacy today means nuclear supremacy. But “nuclear supremacy” or “strategic nuclear supremacy” for India is not even mentioned by Indian politicians, press, ‘strategic experts‘, etc., infiltrated and controlled as they are by the firangi enemy. As I have said, many Iraqi generals were bought up by Americans in the course of their 2003 invasion but it did not make it any less of an invasion and the invasion was expressly called an invasion on Iraq’s nuclear program. The fact that many Indian politicians and others have been bought up does not make this any less of an invasion. This is a war for survival and for independence and requires the energy, speed, commitment and a full spectrum mobilisation appropriate to a war.

JULY 28, 2008: Diverting Attention From The Firangi Enemy:
I have said that almost all terrorist incidents in India since 1983 have been carried out either by groups directly controlled by the CIA or controlled by the CIA through intelligence agencies in the region, including India’s RAW (see my blog ‘India‘s Nuclear Supremacy Over the United States‘ on satchandra.sulekha.com). CIA-RAW carried out the blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad to ‘neutralise’ what I wrote below on July 25 ‘08 and divert attention from the firangi — in particular, the most powerful firangi country, the United States — as India’s number one enemy and direct it toward other Indians (which is what muslims of the subcontinent are). The destruction of New Delhi by a nuclear explosion, centered on RAW headquarters, will destroy the traitors who obstruct India’s nuclear supremacy over the firangi enemy.

JULY 25, 2008: Destroying New Delhi:
Who will be destroyed by the nuclear bomb in New Delhi besides the Laloo Yadavs and Chatterjees (see below)? A bent old man who bent even lower to the Yadavs the day after he recorded the Yadavs, with bags of money, facilitating the invasion of India by firangis and was himself recorded, with folded hands, paying obeisance to the Yadavs. The military and the civil servants who have always been loyal to the firangis (see below). The population of Delhi/New Delhi which, by the hundreds of thousands, stood and watched silently India’s emperor, after surrendering his sword, arrested and led away by a lone Englishman with “fifty black sowars” — the Englishman sent the Indian emperor’s jewel-encrusted sword to the British monarch — though, as the Englishman wrote home to England, anyone of them — his fifty black sowars — could have brought him down with a single shot.
Why did the Indian emperor have to surrender his sword to the lone firangi and submit to being arrested? He had a sword but he lacked supremacy in arms. Today supremacy in arms is nuclear supremacy. No one in Delhi/New Delhi wants nuclear supremacy for India. These are the people who will be destroyed.

JULY 24, 2008: I said below that Somnath Chatterjee is among the many, many politicians, etc., who have been bribed. This criminal-traitor could be ground up and made into fertiliser to grow onions, stinking onions! (He seemed to flee New Delhi for Hyderabad on the pretext of having a medical check up and may do so again so he may not die in the nuclear blast that will destroy New Delhi). Earlier I thought that he could be used, like Laloo Yadav — who is lionized for teaching management to firangis while over twenty thousand passengers have died in Bombay trains in the past five years because they have to ride on roofs of trains or hang outside due to over-crowding — for lard; I thought Laloo Yadav could be tied to the railway tracks and have an express train run over him; then his lard could be extracted and mixed with the diesel fuel in a locomotive. (Laloo Yadav got out of the fodder scam by singing in the Lok Sabha “Maiya meri main nahin makhan khayo”, making even his enemies titter and forgive him; you can’t get any makhan out of him but I thought you could get lard for locomotive fuel). There will be no forgiveness, for anyone, now. Ten thousand nuclear bombs are utterly unforgiving and so is the single nuclear bomb that will destroy New Delhi (see my article ‘What Can Save India?’ on satchandra.sulekha.com).

JULY 23, 2008: Imminent Destruction Of New Delhi With A Nuclear Bomb:
As I have said, after the destruction of New Delhi, India’s government will be in Hyderabad and its contact number will be the telephone number of DRDO. A skeletal staff of just a few dozen, based in Hyderabad, can perform the functions of the Central Government — giving instructions to and answering questions from the State governments and other entities and providing them with funds in accordance with my proposal about money ( see my article ‘How India‘s Economy Can Grow 30% Per Year Or more‘ on satchandra.sulekha.com).

JULY 22, 2008:
It is not just the Intelligence Bureau that continued to be loyal to the British after 1947. So did Nehru:
“Starting about 10 hours before he tendered his resignation, Vajpayee, through the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, tried hard to induce the undersigned to issue a statement urging him to not resign (as I have said over the years, he, like Indira and Rajiv, has been a life-long paid agent of British and American intelligence agencies, with the Soviets providing some antidote which gave India a semblance of independence; Indira was made prime minister by the KGB’s assassination of Shastri; and as Nehru admitted to U.S. ambassador Galbraith, he was a life-long agent of the British). No more than about 80,000 British, women and children included, ruled India for centuries. Nothing that can be said about the stupidity and slavishness of Indians will be an exaggeration.” ( from letter dated May 15, 2004 below).
In India traitors have been the rule rather than the exception. Anyone concerned with India’s defence has to take account of that. India will be saved by the destruction of New Delhi with a nuclear detonation and then the destruction of the United States with ten thousand nuclear warheads (see my article ‘Imminent End of White Rule Over India’ on satchandra.sulekha.com).
