Titanic- The Unsinkable…
My son was reading a book about Titanic. I remember reading as a lesson in my school. Was tempted to write a few lines about her. Hence this instant poem!!!

The dream ship, the unsinkable one,
was amazingly built on eleven floors,
the interior looking rich and beautiful,
like a palace, she stood, tall and proud. She set on her maiden voyage,
from London to New York,
carrying over two-thousand dreamers,
filled with dreams and passions in their minds.
The voyagers looked in awe,
the man made wonder, the massive ship,
with numerous rooms , glittering with lights,
enchanting music, and variety food!
She sailed peacefully, the ocean was calm,
Lovers rested happily, in each other’s arms,
some of them slept cozy and warm,
children cuddled up their dads and moms!
The captain was proud, the people were happy,
Everything fine, until the she hit an iceberg,
The unsinkable ship, was destined to sink,
on that severely , cold and starry night!
Water flooded the compartments,
the lights turned off, the ship rocked violently,
sounds of cries, ringed in all directions,
eagles hovered round the sky!
Life-boats and life jackets,
Women and children,
Men and the old,
all of them in utter chaos!
Everyone tried to save their lives,
some cheated, some hit,
some killed, some begged,
the Unsinkable, began to sink…
The crew fought their best,
musicians played endlessly,
fireworks were sent flying to sky,
the call of ‘SOS”- Save Our Souls!
Exactly at the stroke of midnight,
the mighty ship, the proud ship,
plunged into the deep waters,
swallowing men, women, and children!
To the survivors, the ship looked,
like a huge hungry whale,
that gobbled the innocent ,and down
she went with a huge roar, a burp?
The ocean seemed to be filled,
with corpses in all directions,
a few boats slowly kept sailing,
until their saviour – “The Carpathia” arrived.
The ship safely reached New York,
some happy faces, some anxious faces,
some hugs and some sobs,
and a few faces, still searching……
