SITTING AT THE FEET OF GREAT BEINGS – an acrostic poem
Since I have sat at the feet of great beings, it is something I can vouch for. This poem describes the significance of sitting at the feet of great beings.
SITTING AT THE FEET
OF GREAT BEINGS
by Harry Kottler
Sitting at the feet of great beings
Is sitting at the feet of the Lord.
This is true, and
This poem’s for you;
In saints’ presence you’re moved toward
Night’s complete erasure through the
Grace you’re looking for.
Awash with all God’s glory
Their energy just pours.
Their wisdom is transcendent.
Happiness they’ve claimed
Enlightenment’s descended.
Forever mind’s been tamed.
Everything for them is God.
Everything is divine.
They reflect
Om’s grandeur, and their
Faces always shine.
Great beings hold the winning cards
Right inside their feet.
Every move they make
Aligns your space, as
Transformation you meet.
But you must do some work yourself.
Even grace needs help from effort.
In this world of time and space
No one can simply be at leisure.
Go and sit at a great being’s feet, and
Surrender to his will in full measure.
